Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the two fighters met personally to promote next month's boxing match.
Ex twice world title holder Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
Despite those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, criticized British opponent Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.
Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
